A prize-awarding ceremony of the top ten agricultural counties and top 30 farms of 2024 took place in the DPRK on February 26.
Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, officials of the commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels and officials of the units that were selected as the best agricultural counties and farms.
True to the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, the best agricultural counties and farms took the lead in all aspects including the introduction of advanced farming methods and technology, the realization of agricultural informatization, the irrigation construction and the increased proportion of mechanization.
Selected as the top ten agricultural counties were Sukchon, Mundok, Yomju, Sinchon, Anak, Paechon, Yonggwang and Hwadae counties and Jongju and Hoeryong cities and as the top 30 farms the Isan Farm of Kangnam County, the Yakjon Farm, the Yoldusamchon Farm and the Chaeryong Farm of Sukchon County, the Ryongnim Farm of Mundok County, the Wonhwa Farm of Phyongwon County, the Namsang Farm of Pukchang County, the Hyongbong Farm of Tokchon City, the Unjong Farm of Sonchon County, the Ilhae Farm of Jongju City, the Toksong Farm and the Oguk Farm of Anak County, the Saenal Farm of Sinchon County, the Samjigang Farm of Jaeryong County, the Chujong Farm of Paechon County, the Sobong Farm of Yonan County, the Migok Farm of Sariwon City, the Subong Farm of the North Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee, the Sangjung Farm of Yonggwang County, the Ingye Farm of Hoeryong City, the Township Farm of Hwadae County, the Yombun Farm of Kyongsong County, the Wangjaesan Farm of Onsong County, the Nongsadong Farm of Taehongdan County, the Kangson Farm in Chollima District, the Chongsan Farm in Kangso District, the Chaeryon Farm in Phanmun District, etc.
The certificate of the top prize was given to the top 10 cities and counties and top 30 farms, and prizes were awarded to them.
