In the DPRK mass sports games take place on a regular basis. The contest of public health workers is one of them.
Ryugyong Dental Hospital has been successful in different events of the annual tournament.
In the past the hospital has widely encouraged its staffs to take part in sports activities, which promotes the harmony and unity of the collective and makes everyone joyful and optimistic.
The hospital officials made it duty-bound for all the staffs to be engaged in more than one event including basketball, volleyball, table-tennis and Taekwon-Do on the occasion of the day of sports every month and they took the lead in the effort.
Specifically they organized colourful matches to stimulate competitiveness among the employees on the occasion of the hospital’s birthday or national holidays.
In the course of this, the staffs began to join the sports and amusement games according to their aptitudes and physical abilities and tried to acquire the relevant game rules and higher technical movements.
Everyone exchanged their techniques for the sake of the honour of their own and the collective. Consequently, their technical levels and enthusiasm for sports went up day by day and the revolutionary optimism and spirit was established across the hospital.
At the same time this gave rise to the climate of helping and leading each other forward, while the unity and organizing ability of the collective grew stronger.
The hospital took second place in the men’s volleyball and tennis events in 2024, and entered the rankings in the men’s volleyball, table-tennis and Taekwon-Do events last year.
