ThePresident resolutely rejected the sophism of the riff-raff who were talking nonsenseabout the name of a new country to be built in liberated Korea, saying that thename of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea could be found nowhere elseand that if it conformed to the actual situation of the country and its peopleliked it, the name was good no matter what others would do.
Wheneverthey think of the significant name of the Grand People's Study House in theheart of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, the people recollect thePresident's noble outlook on the people with deep emotion.
Hepersonally set Nam Hill, which had been counted as an excellent location, as asite for a large library for the people, and when officials suggested naming itKim Il Sung Library or Kim Il Sung Study House, he said he hadlong thought about how to name the library, adding that it was best to name itthe Grand People's Study House in the sense that it is the house where all thepeople would study.
Like this, he always gave top priority to the people in allhis thoughts and activities, and thus the public catering bases built on thebanks of the picturesque Taedong and Pothong rivers were named Okryu Restaurantand Chongnyu Restaurant and the reservoirs irrigating vast stretches of fertileplains Lake Yonphung and Lake Unpha, still conveying his fatherly affectionthrough generations.
