Last February the Samgwang Livestock Farm under the North Phyongan Provincial Rural Economy Committee was built as a model of modern animal husbandry. Now the informatized and intelligent production and management system of the farm draws much interest of people.
The farm is a conglomerate that focuses on animal husbandry while being engaged in farming and dairy production.
It boasts an intelligent integrated production system which can control the overall production lines in an informatized and intelligent way.
The system helps the farm monitor in real time what is happening in production and management over dozens of square kilometres of area. All data is analysed and problems are addressed promptly and correctly.
As to planning, it estimates how many animals are to be secured in a year and calculates how much fodder they will consume annually, making it possible to take measures to provide necessary fodder. When the feed materials change, a new recipe is automatically worked out to meet the nutrient needs of animals in a satisfactory manner.
Besides, the production plan of dairy products is made with the help of an optimized model in such a way as to earn more profits.
The general control room draws up daily plans for all production systems scientifically, controls their implementation and takes rational measures to cope with vagaries.
This system was awarded a special prize at the recent 39th National Sci-Tech Festival.
