The soldier-builders are seen in every city and county where the programme of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy unfolded by the Workers’ Party of Korea is being implemented in real earnest.
They are officers and men of the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army which were organized to implement the Party’s regional development policy.
On arriving at the construction sites of regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties including Songchon and Unpha counties in 2024, the first year when their units were formed, they built modern regional-industry factories in a matter of one year by pushing ahead with the projects in a three-dimensional way.
When the whole country was in a festive mood with the construction of new regional-industry factories, the soldier-builders left the factories permeated with their sweet, and streets and villages full of people’s happiness for another 20 cities and counties. However, groundbreaking ceremonies were later held in the cities and counties with blasting signalling the start of new projects. The events made the local people convinced that a wonderful change would be effected in their localities as well.
After all, modern regional-industry factories went up in 40 cities and counties in a couple of years.
Bearing in mind the instructions of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that the People’s Army is obliged to become standard-bearer and hero in the gigantic struggle for fulfilling the revolutionary task, the long-cherished desire of the Party, and preserve its noble name as the architect and defender of the people’s happiness, the soldier-builders are now making notable achievements at the construction sites of regional-industry factories, hospitals and leisure complexes, displaying its spirit and mettle.
