Press Statement on Talks of Foreign Ministers of DPRK and Russia Released

A press statement on the talks between the foreign ministers of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Russian Federation was released on October 27.
The press statement reads as follows:
Talks between Comrade Choe Son Hui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Comrade Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, were held in Moscow on October 27 at the time when the strategic and alliance character of the relations between the two countries have been consolidated further and their might and vitality have been demonstrated fully under the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the heads of state of the two countries.
At the talks, they had constructive and beneficial strategic communication with the main emphasis on the results of implementation of the top-level agreement between the heads of state and the plan for high-level visits and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, and on diplomatic coordination of major pending international issues of common concern to reach a consensus of views on all the issues discussed.
Recognizing that the comradely relations of friendship between the heads of state of two countries serve as the most powerful driving force guaranteeing the solidity and future-oriented nature of the development of the DPRK-Russia relations, both sides reaffirmed their will to accelerate the multi-faceted development of the bilateral relations under the strategic leadership at the top level.
The Russian side expressed full support for the DPRK’s efforts to safeguard the current status of the state, its security interests and sovereign rights and for the relevant measures taken to that end, and the DPRK side expressed unwavering sympathy and support for all the measures taken by Russia to remove the root cause of the Ukrainian dispute and to attain the strategic goal of special military operations.
