Jo Yong Won, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, on March 26.
The message extended sincere congratulations to Jo Yong Won on his election as chairman of the SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK at the First Session of the 15 th SPA.
In recent years, the China-DPRK relations have entered a new historic period and are achieving sustained and stable development under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Kim Jong Un , the message said.
It expressed the willingness to actively promote exchange and cooperation between the two legislative bodies and thus contribute to developing the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation into a higher stage in line with the common understanding of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries.
Meanwhile, Jo Yong Won received a congratulatory message from Gustavo Porras, president of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, as regards his election as chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly.
