The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, sent a reply message to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, on March 9.
The message reads:
Esteemed Comrade General Secretary,
I express deep thanks to you for the warm congratulatory message you sent as regards my reelection as General Secretary of the WPK at the Ninth Congress of the WPK.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China congratulated us with sincerity on the Ninth Congress of our Party and you sent a message of greetings to me, which is an expression of your support and encouragement to me and the entire members of our Party.
It is a steadfast stand of our Party and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to keep consolidating and developing the traditional DPRK-China friendship in accordance with the new requirements of the times and the aspirations of our two peoples.
I believe that the cooperation between our two parties and countries would be closer in the future on the road of advancing the common socialist cause.
I sincerely wish you good health and greater success in your work for strengthening the party and speeding up the building of a modern socialist power.
