Since the adoption of a new policy for provincial development at the 10 th session of the 14 th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK modern local industrial factories have spruced up in 40 cities and counties across the country in less than 2 years’ time, representing a remarkable transformation. Last year pilot projects for public health facilities and cultural service complexes were completed in several cities and counties.
Such entities of epoch-making significance can be termed a praiseworthy fruition of WPK’s politics meant for the improvement of people’s well-being, the politics peculiar to the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) that has recorded the history of dedication to people.
During the course of implementing the new policy, dramatic progress and changes were made in the laying of economic foundations, improvement of local industry’s competitiveness and people’s perception of provincial areas. All the above are indicative of the WPK’s noble view: we can see the bright prospect of our socialism and eternal prosperity of the country in the secure future of its provincial areas.
We held ground-breaking ceremonies one after another for the New Year’s construction projects under the “Regional Development 20x10 Policy” in 20 cities and counties, the first being in Unryul County. The ceremonies clearly demonstrated the enthusiasm of our people for the ever-expanding provincial development policy and also the potential of our State to back up its implementation as well as the great prospect of a new upswing to be envisioned at the 9 th Congress of the WPK.
Led by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who champions the historic cause of building a socialist power with victory and glory, our people are confident that a brighter future is in store for them, and under his seasoned and outstanding leadership that has placed our State at the acme of dignity and prestige, they will surely mark a new turning point in the era of comprehensive national prosperity.
