OneJune day in 2012, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un attended the joint nationalmeeting of the Korean Children’s Union organizations in celebration of its 66thfounding anniversary to make a meaningful speech and enjoyed a concert togetherwith more than 20 000 KCU delegates. After the concert, he summoned exemplaryKCU members and asked them their hopes.
Someof them answered they would become scientists or doctors.
Afterlistening to their answers, he asked a schoolboy standing beside him what he hopedto become.
Theboy replied with animation that he would become a soldier of the People’s Army.Then, wearing a bright smile, the General Secretary asked him again what hewould do after his demob. The boy replied that he would serve the army all hislife without being discharged from it.
Laughingheartily, the General Secretary told leading officials of the army to take anotherpicture in commemoration of the praiseworthy answer from the younger generationpupil.
He keptwearing a beaming smile, looking at the boy posing for a photo.
Lookingup to the respected fatherly Marshal, the boy inwardly made up his mind tostudy harder and take a more active part in organizational activities and thusjoin the army to firmly defend the country with arms of the revolution in thefuture, always remembering the glory of the day.
