One day in February 2012, the peopleof Sagwa-ri of Toksong County received the impressive news that the respectedComrade Kim Jong Un sent them as agift the Korean painting "Toksong Fruit Farm in Spring".
As they received the picture intears and with deep emotion, they all recollected the unforgettable springday in the year before.
In May2011, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the then Toksong Fruit Farm.
Thatday, looking atthe thriving orchard withapple blossoms in full bloom, the Chairman said with pleasure that it wasreally wonderful and that Ragwon-ri which had beencalled Nimangji-ri now became Sagwa(apple)-ri. And he kindly promised tocome again on a rich autumn day when the apples would ripen red.
After hepassed away, the farmers worked hard to create a 30-hectare orchard asthey removed rocks and stones despite cold weather, with the guilty feelingthat they had failed to show him a bumper harvest.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent the meaningful famous painting to thefarmers who badly missed the Chairman.
Likethis, "Toksong Fruit Farm in Spring"was kept dearly inthe minds ofthe Sagwa-ripeople.
Even today, they are filled with the resolve to notonly treasure thefamous painting but also reap a bumper harvest in their farm by leading the spring inthe picture to a good crop of apples.
