The Korean Central News Agency released a commentary under the title "Does the Frequent Tempest in the West Pacific Foretell Disastrous Tidal Waves?".
The commentary said that these days, US-led multinational military drills are staged one after another in the west Pacific region including Australia, and continued:
The largest-ever-scale "Talisman Sabre" multinational military drills were staged between mid-July and August 4 under the co-supervision of the US and Australian forces with the involvement of about 40,000 troops, over 30 big and small warships and more than 70 fighters from 19 countries.
Warship task forces of the United States, Britain, Australia and Japan conducted large-scale joint naval military exercises in the west Pacific between August 4 and 12. The latest-type "F-35B" stealth fighters that made a sortie from the US nuclear carrier "George Washington" and the British carrier "Prince of Wales" landed on the actual carrier "Kaga" of Japan in succession. In this way, joint exercises similar to the actual war were frantically conducted.
The consecutive US-led multinational military drills, each of which is a serious threat to the security environment of the region, really go beyond precedent and the regional countries' concern about them is quite natural.
Actually, the US-ROK large-scale joint military exercises "Ulji Freedom Shield" against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will be frantically conducted in the region of the Korean peninsula from the coming 18th with the mobilization of most of the countries involved in the recent multinational military drills in the west Pacific region including the member states of the "UN Command". As you see, the next arrow of the US-led multinational military action which was frequently staged in the west Pacific is clearly drawn deep into the Asia-Pacific region.
If the United States and the states obedient to it persistently resort to military actions hindering peace and security of the Asia-Pacific region, it will surely evoke resistance and retaliation of the regional countries. The United States and its followers should not underestimate the will of the regional countries to defend peace and security of the Asia-Pacific region by not ruling out even the physical counteraction, the commentary noted.
