Meeting of presenting technical experiences in field of agriculture in first half of year held
A meeting of presenting technical experiences in the field of agriculture in the first half of the year was held in the city of Haeju between July 29 and 31.
The meeting was aimed at widely generalizing sci-tech successes and experiences achieved in the implementation of the Party policy on changing the grain production structure of the country and powerfully pushing ahead with the rice and wheat farming.
It was attended by officials in the field of agriculture from across the country including the Agricultural Commission, the provincial rural economy committees and the city and county agricultural management committees. Introduced at the meeting were the successes of high yield in wheat farming achieved by introducing choice varieties suited to their regions and putting the manuring and cultivation on a highly scientific basis and increasing the level of mechanization of the farm work.
Technical experiences of important significance in sustainably developing the agriculture of the country were highly estimated and prizes awarded to the excellent units at the meeting.
During the meeting, the participants visited the Agricultural Management Officials' School under the Rural Economy Committee of South Hwanghae Province, the Haeju Agricultural Goods Production Station and the Haeju Plastic Goods Processing Station.
