Young people in South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces volunteered to work in difficult and challenging sectors of socialist construction.
Those in Ragwon, Jongphyong and Hochon counties of South Hamgyong Province volunteered to work at raw-materials and fishery bases for implementing the regional development policy of the Workers' Party of Korea. Tens of young people in the province resolved to work at the difficult sites.
Those in the city of Samjiyon, Kim Hyong Gwon County and Kim Hyong Jik County of Ryanggang Province also joined the ranks of volunteers with high enthusiasm to display the stamina of patriotic youth.
Meetings of congratulating the volunteers were held in the city of Hamhung of South Hamgyong Province and the city of Hyesan of Ryanggang Province.
Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students. Certificates were awarded and congratulatory and other speeches made.
Officials and youth and students warmly sent off the volunteers leaving for their new revolutionary posts, presenting them with bouquets.
