The 36th Plenary Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on the 3rd.
It was presided over by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
Present at the plenary meeting were Vice-Chairmen Kang Yun Sok and Kim Ho Chol and members of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the SPA, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies.
The plenary meeting presented as agenda items the deliberation and adoption of the DPRK Law on Execution of "Regional Development 20×10 Policy", Law on Bio-Security and Law on Medical Examination of Ability to Work, and the recall and election of judge and people's assessors of the Supreme Court.
There was a report on the main contents of the relevant draft bills deliberated at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
The decrees of the Standing Committee of the SPA "On Adopting the DPRK Law on Execution of 'Regional Development 20×10 Policy'", "On Adopting the DPRK Law on Bio-Security" and "On Adopting the DPRK Law on Medical Examination of Ability to Work" were adopted with unanimous approval on the basis of the study and discussion on the bills presented.
The plenary meeting recalled and elected judge and people's assessors of the Supreme Court of the DPRK.
