The 22nd May 21 Architectural Festival closed with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on May 16.
Exchanged at the festival were successes and experience gained in the work to build structures which can serve as models and standards of the times in which the ideal of people-first architecture is embodied and to raise the country’s architectural science and technology onto a higher level.
During the festival there was a presentation of experience gained in developing the architectural aesthetic features in the designing of the 10 000 flats at the fourth-stage in the Hwasong area, which would show a new stage of the development of the Juche-oriented architecture under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , and a video show on the world trend of architecture.
South Phyongan, South Hamgyong and North Hwanghae provinces were highly appreciated at the festival.
Present at the closing ceremony were Vice-Premier Kim Jong Gwan, officials concerned, and scientists, designers, teachers and researchers in the field of construction across the country.
The results of the assessment was announced and cups, diplomas and certificates were awarded to the Paektusan Institute of Architecture, Pyongyang University of Architecture, the Pyongyang Urban Planning Institute, the Kangwon Provincial Designing Institute, the Jagang Provincial Designing Institute and others highly appreciated units and participants.
