Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) — The 14th enlarged plenary meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea was held on April 3.
Present there were members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee and, as observers, UAWK officials from Pyongyang and provinces.
The enlarged plenary meeting discussed and decided the measures for carrying through the important tasks set forth in the historic policy speech the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People’s Assembly.
The meeting proposed a draft decision indicating the practical ways for the UAWK organizations at all levels to implant the main idea and spirit of the policy speech in the union officials and members and arouse the masses to their implementation, and studied and discussed it.
It advanced the ways for the UAWK organizations at all levels to boost the socialist emulation for attaining the grain production goal certainly in the period of the new long-term plan and briskly launch various good-conduct movements conducive to ushering in the new era of rural development.
The meeting studied the ways for steadily intensifying the education and campaign for more thoroughly establishing the socialist lifestyle and moral discipline and making the traits of collectivism prevail in the union.
Adopted at the enlarged plenary meeting with unanimous approval was a decision reflecting the innovative proposals and constructive opinions for bringing about a turn in the union work as intended by the Workers’ Party of Korea.
