It is a fine trait peculiar to the Korean people to turn out as one in hearty response to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
True to the struggle programme set forth by the Ninth Congress of the WPK last February, many people and students are sending letters of encouragement to major units across the country which are out in the implementation of the decisions of the Party Congress, full of fresh confidence and enthusiasm.
Upon hearing the news that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Sangwon Cement Complex before other units soon after the Congress was over and made a meaningful speech there, members of the women’s union in Pyongyang Municipality sent more than 10 000 letters to the employees of the complex.
According to an official of the Pyongyang municipal committee of the women’s union, the letters contain the earnest request that the workers of Sangwon always take the lead also in the efforts to implement the decisions of the Ninth Party Congress by steadily carrying forward the honourable history and tradition of the complex which has been a source of great strength and support for the WPK through increased production and patriotic struggle.
The family of Kim Ryu Hwa in Phalgol-dong No. 2 of Mangyongdae District in Pyongyang, Ri Kum Chol in Othan-dong of Central District in Pyongyang, An Pok Hui in Hyangman-dong of Sariwon City in North Hwanghae Province and other people across the country sent letters and aid materials to the working people of the complex to greatly encourage them.
Officials of the South Hamgyong provincial committee of the women’s union and the women’s union members in Hungnam District of Hamhung City visited the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, conducted motivational activities for increased production and handed letters over to workers to encourage them to the drive for increased fertilizer production.
Large numbers of women’s union members across the country visited the construction sites of new regional-industry factories to hand letters of encouragement over to soldier-builders of the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army and sing inspiring songs.
Officials of ministries and national agencies including the Ministry of Light Industry and the Intellectual Property Administration of the DPRK sent letters and aid materials to different coal mines.
Young people and schoolchildren are sending letters to the young men and women who are performing feats in different units including the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade and other working people who are making innovations at their workplaces.
