Kim Chaek University of Technology has established an intelligent online education system.
Ri Il Ryong, head of a department of the online education faculty of the university, said the system marks another step forward in improving the quality of online education.
The intelligent online education system consists of the intelligent teaching management system, automatic question-and-answer system, students’ learning attitude analysis system and intelligent testing system.
The intelligent teaching management system has a learner model that simulates the thinking of a competent lecturer and gives a correct understanding of the learning situation of students, so as to analyze what they learned, what they do not know and why.
On that basis, it offers appropriate learning materials sequentially.
It is of great help to the learning of each student in online education where detailed learning aid is insufficient.
The automatic question-and-answer system which responds to learners’ questions in real time is highly appreciated for its detailedness and high accuracy.
On the other hand, the students’ learning attitude analysis system assesses students’ psychology and attention by observing their faces in real time, so that the lecturer can lead the lecture interestingly without boring them.
In addition, the text translation automatic assessment system is applied to automatically scoring the texts translated by students, and there is a system for automatically analyzing students’ reports on experiment, practice and course design.
The intelligent online education system can issue notices on the study results to rouse the students’ enthusiasm for learning.
The establishment of the system ensures the promptness, convenience and accuracy of the online education management and improves students’ academic abilities.
