A meeting was held at the Central Hall of Workers on January 31 to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea.
The meeting was attended by Ju Chang Il and Kim Jong Sun, Department Directors of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the union, agricultural workers, and officials, teachers, journalists and editors of the Kumsong University of Politics and the Working People's Organizations Publishing House.
Ju Chang Il conveyed a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the WPK to the organizations at all levels, officials and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea.
The message said the founding of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea was an event of the turn of the destiny that enabled the farmers put down in all sorts of fetters and sufferings for a long time to have the revolutionary political organization representing their rights and interests and fully enjoy a dignified life for the first time in history.
It expressed the belief that the organizations at all levels, officials and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea on the new starting line of more dynamic, strenuous efforts after summing up its 80-year proud course in the glorious era with new history of national prosperity would courageously and vigorously dash forward along the great milestone of socialist rural construction indicated by the Party in the future, too.

The meeting adopted a resolution.
