The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un always stresses that the people’s demands and interests should be regarded as absolute criteria in building a structure or producing consumer goods, however small they may be.
He visited the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory in Kangwon Province one day in July 2018. That day he told the officials of the factory that it was lately earning a reputation, speaking highly of it for churning out products and conducting its management well.
However hard a factory advertises its modern production lines and good quality of its products, he said, it cannot be said to be well managed if it fails to enjoy high demand for its products and popularity among the people. Then he continued that the people are the strictest examiner and judge.
In October 2015 he visited the then Paekhak-dong in Rason Municipality’s Sonbong area which had been rebuilt after being cleared of all traces of floods. He said that the quality of public buildings should be left to be checked by the people, who would use them, and that the newly-built dwelling houses can be likewise said to be truly well made when the people who would live there say they like them.
He visited the completed Ragwon County Offshore Farm and fishermen’s residential district in South Hamgyong Province in August last year. Then he said that the people’s demands and interests must be regarded as absolute criteria and sincere devotion should be made when a location is chosen and a structure is built in the future, too, just like we have built the seafood production base for the county people at an ideal place in Ragwon County this time.
