Kim Jong Un , president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on Dec. 29.
The message said:
As we bid farewell to the past year and welcome a new one, I extend my warmest wishes to Your Excellency for a Happy New Year.
May the New Year 2026 mark a renewed commitment to revitalizing our collective efforts and constructive engagement, guided by dialogue and understanding, to transcend ongoing conflicts and advance our shared aspiration for a more peaceful, stable and secure future for our nations.
I look forward to strengthening our bilateral relations in the year ahead, fostering closer cooperation and yielding tangible benefits for our two friendly peoples.
Please accept, dear Mr. President, the assurances of my highest esteem and sincere wishes for a year filled with progress and prosperity for all peoples worldwide.
