For the DPRK this year is the fourth year of the implementation of the rural revolution programme in the new era. Throughout the year auspicious events of moving into new houses took place in succession across the country.
House-moving in the Jangsuwon Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee on New Year’s Day has been followed by similar events in hundreds of farms around the country till the end of the year.
The number of houses completed this year amounts to well over 30 000.
The dwelling houses in the rural villages built to preserve regional features are comprised of living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and warehouses with all the modern conveniences and in harmony with good species of fruit and other trees.
“We have never imagined our outlying mountainous area would be admirably transformed like this.”
This reflects the people’s boundless gratitude to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has threw himself throughout the year to turning all rural villages across the country into socialist modern communities good to live and work in.
The Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea held at the end of last year stressed the need to continue to push ahead with the construction of rural houses in 2025 after 2024.
In order to provide the rural inhabitants with excellent living environment by transforming the rural villages across the country, Kim Jong Un made sure that the housing construction in the countryside was pushed forward without fail this year, too.
He saw to it that cities and counties further strengthened their construction forces and animal sheds were arranged near the farmers’ houses for their convenience in life in designing the houses. And he took every measure to deal with the problems arising in rural construction.
While inspecting the completed Ragwon County Offshore Farm and the modern fishermen’s residential district in August this year, he repeatedly stressed the need to build all other houses across the country as splendidly as those built in Ragwonpho.
Thanks to his loving care, modern farmhouses, public buildings and production buildings were newly built in many farms, including the Tapsang Farm in Unsan County, adding to the pleasure and joy of the people.
