New villages were built at the Chongok and Jasan farms in the city of Phyongsong, South Phyongan Province, and the Phyongmun and Taean farms in Taegwan County of North Phyongan Province.
The modern houses in the villages preserve well the characteristics peculiar to the countryside and have all conditions to provide the inhabitants with convenience in everyday life. They represent the warm love of the motherly Party which intends to turn the rural villages across the country into ideal ones overflowing with the people's happiness.
Meetings were held on the spots with the attendance of Ri Kyong Chol, Chief Secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Song Bom, Chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, officials of the Party and government organs in North Phyongan Province, the city of Phyongsong and Taegwan County, builders and farmers.
Congratulatory addresses were delivered, permits for the use of houses conveyed and other speeches made.
Art performances were given and officials called on farmers to congratulate them on their removal into new houses.
