Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- Associations of various sporting events in the DPRK are organizing and guiding teaching and training in a scientific way while developing and applying training means and methods suited to the physical constitution and characteristics of Korean players.
The Football Association has directed its efforts to introducing the useful multipurpose device for measuring physical ability developed by Pyongyang International Football School into provincial football schools, and to improving the practical qualifications of coaches and instructors.
The officials, coaches and researchers of the Boxing Association are conducting practical and purposeful teaching and training to improve various skills of players and make them acquire two or more special ones.
The weightlifting, wrestling and athletic associations are carrying out their detailed training plans while creating and introducing rational training methods of giving full play to the physical and technical abilities of individual players.
Meanwhile, skating and swimming associations are actively applying training means and auxiliary apparatuses helpful to putting the teaching and training on a scientific basis. By doing so, they are steadily improving the skills of the players.
The Teqball Association is paying attention to applying research successes conducive to improving various techniques of players and making them master various game tactics to the relevant units, and to building up the ranks of players in a far-sighted way.
The shooting and canoeing associations are pushing ahead with the work to put the techniques of sporting events on a new high level according to scientific and realistic plans. -0-
