Schoolchildren in the DPRK met at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace on August 13 to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, other officials of the youth league and schoolchildren.
At the meeting, the performers explained the immortal exploits of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation and the indomitable struggle of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who provided precious traditions with which to carry forward the history of the Korean revolution to victory.
A performer said that through the reminiscences “To Defend the Headquarters” he was deeply moved by the noble spiritual world of the hot-blooded fighters who threw themselves into the jaws of death, wishing only the safety of Commander Kim Il Sung , and of the forerunners who created the noble history peculiar to the Korean revolution shining with the spirit of defending the leader unto death.
The reminiscences telling about the noble outlook on the rising generation of Kim Il Sung who brought up the members of the Children’s Corps to be successors to the revolution, and his ardent love for the future of the revolution, left a deep impression on the participants.
Explaining the contents of the reminiscences “A Man of Strong Faith” reflecting the staunch spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, a performer called upon the schoolchildren to prepare themselves to be the pillars of the future and the young revolutionaries boundlessly loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un .
