Residents in Kusong City, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK, have celebrated the inauguration of regional-industry factories with pleasure.

An inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories in the city took place on the spot on January 30.

Present there were officials and working people in North Phyongan Province and Kusong City, soldier-builders and employees of the factories.

Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, addressed the ceremony.

He said that the regional-industry factories, successfully built as precious edifices to add warm vigour to the people’s living in Kusong City and firmly support the regional economic development, are a clear demonstration of the steadfast will of the Party Central Committee to realize in their generation the cherished desire of the regional people to enjoy a life as good as that in town.

He stressed that the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who clearly indicated the tasks and ways for building regional-industry factories into monumental edifices in the era of the Workers’ Party and into people’s factories substantially conducive to the improvement of their living standards, convening important meetings of the Party and the state one after another to implement the regional development policy and visiting construction sites in succession, has served as a driving force that ensured the successful completion of the huge construction projects in less than one year.

He ardently called upon all officials to make redoubled efforts to bring earlier the future of a civilized and prosperous powerful country, mindful of the fact that when they dynamically implement the Party’s policy on developing the regional industry, it is possible to ensure the stable and sustained development of the national economy and steadily improve the people’s living standards.

Kim Chol Ryong, chief secretary of the Kusong City Committee of the WPK, made a speech.

He firmly pledged to uphold through bold practical struggle the plan and intention of the WPK to level up the living standards of the people across the country substantially and further accelerate the comprehensive development of socialism through the intensified regional-industry revolution.

After the ceremony, the participants went round the factories.

A peculiar art performance was given to add emotion and joy to the people greeting the significant day.

That evening fireworks were displayed to celebrate the inauguration of the factories.
