Many people visit the Amusement Park of Kaeson Youth Park at the foot of Moran Hill in Pyongyang to spend a pleasant time.
The amusement park, which blends in well with the scenic hill, looks like a picture by day and is as bright as day at night for illuminations.
The whole park seems as if it is moving as all the amusement facilities, including Disco, Sky Drop, Twin Dragon, Treble Twister and Flying Car, run dynamically, decorated with beautiful and distinctive illuminations.
The towering Sky Drop is a facility every visitor to the park wants to try. When the bell rings, the machine gradually moves up to the top and stops before moving downwards quickly and it moves upwards and downwards repeatedly at lightning speed. So the riders wear various expressions, drawing laughter from the viewing crowd. Some riders shriek with laughter, some girls can hardly open their eyes and some boys wave their arms, demonstrating their bravery. Amusedly looking at various funny facial expressions of the riders, viewers laugh uproariously, waving their hands or snapping photos.
Hearty laughs also ring out from the electronic entertainment hall in the amusement park.
Boys and girls “dance” to the tune of lilting music on the rhythmic stepping boards, drawing the attention of visitors. And dull sounds come from the other side of the hall where there are hitting power measuring machines. Among the male visitors who test their punching power, there is a boy wearing a red neckerchief of the Children’s Union.
Children are so deeply absorbed in amusement activities they lose track of time at the claw doll grabber machine and such electronic game facilities as those for car and motorcycle races.
After spending a fun time at the park, many people have photos taken against the background of its distinctive nocturnal view.
“I spent a marvellous time at the park, unaware of the passage of time. I feel as if I have become ten years younger for the enjoyable environment,” said an old man, who came there with his grandchildren.
