Today, monumental structures are mushrooming across the DPRK.
This proves the validity and vitality of the construction policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the Party’s policy on construction is a policy of constantly aspiring to the new and development and there should be no absolute model or standard in its formulation and implementation.
His instruction means that the construction work is, in name and reality, a gigantic pioneering struggle for opening up a phase of new civilization in keeping with the strong aspiration of the people and that it is needed to make the most of the already accumulated potential for construction and, at the same time, actively aspire to the advanced ones and wage an uninterrupted struggle for its strict implementation.
Every structure built on this land in a matter of several years–50 000 flats in the capital city of Pyongyang, modern neighbourhood-serving amenities in the Hwasong area, new regional-industry factories, leisure complexes and regional hospitals in different parts of the country, the Onpho Working People’s Holiday Camp and the Yombunjin Coastal Park–is an edifice highlighting the mature phase of the rapidly developing Korean architecture.
In January this year Comrade Kim Jong Un said that architecture is a visual expression of the contemporary ideology and cultural level and it should be steadily oriented to new things and constantly developed, and set forth important tasks that would serve as guidelines in implementing the construction policy.
With huge construction projects now underway across the country, the construction field is surely riding on the waves of upturn towards new progress and development. This provides further impetus to the cause of the DPRK.
