The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a congratulatory message to the participants in the 11th Congress of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and the young people across the country on April 28.
The Central Committee of the WPK warmly congratulated the 11th Congress of the SPYL to be recorded in the history of the country as an assemblage demonstrating the fresh spiritual power and fighting capacity of the Korean youths in the new era and the bright future of socialist Korea.
Noting that the past five years were proud and glorious annals which opened a heyday unprecedented in the 80-year-long history of the youth league, the congratulatory message sent warm thanks to the participants in the congress and the entire young people across the country who are devoting their wisdom, strength and passion for the prosperity of the motherland and beautiful future, true to the ideology and intention of the Party.
Great is the expectation of the Party for the young people and youth league organizations across the country, the message noted and presented the main tasks of the youth league and the practical ways for activating the Korean youth movement in the forthcoming five years.
Noting that the spiritual inheritance of our Party and the state depends on the ideological and spiritual development and dynamic activities of the youths, it expressed the belief that the youth league would wonderfully perform its sacred duty given by the country and revolution and the time and history in the new struggle for transformation with the current congress as a turning point.
