An inauguration ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm in South Hamgyong Province took place in August 2025 in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
At the event he said with pleasure that the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and its modern fishermen’s residential district, a construction project which has been powerfully pushed forward as a major policy-oriented task of the state, are greeting the significant day of inauguration.
The farm, whose construction began in February that year, was originally scheduled to be inaugurated in September.
Several few days before the inauguration ceremony, Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the completed farm and residential district. He said that it is really wonderful, that the undertaking which has been planned since last year in order to build a fishing base which is more characteristic than the Sinpho City Offshore Farm is going to bear fruit at last, and that he is pleased to present the fishing village in such a beautiful port to the people in Ragwon County.
Going round various places of the farm that day, he gave precious instructions on its management and operation. It seems as if the groundbreaking ceremony was held there a few days ago, but the modern offshore farm and dwelling houses have been successfully built in several months, and that this clearly shows the speed of advance of our times making a leap forward by creation and change, he added.
He said that he has nothing to say but it is wonderful while touring the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and the modern residential district for fishermen, that it would be good if all ris are to be transformed like Ragwonpho, and that it is a firm determination of our Party to turn the whole country into a paradise for the people envied by the world.
Saying that he would like to see the people in Ragwon County happy with the farm and village as soon as possible, he took a measure to hold the inauguration ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm as a nationwide event in the near future.
