A joint national meeting of organizations of the Korean Children's Union for celebrating the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung was held before the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on the 14th.
Present there were children of the Mangyongdae and Chilgol revolutionary schools, delegates of the Children's Union organizations from the provinces, schoolchildren in Pyongyang and pupils joining the Korean Children's Union.
Invited to the meeting were Ju Chang Il, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, youth league officials, and meritorious persons and labour innovators in the city.
A report was made by Mun Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.
There was an accession ceremony to the Korean Children's Union.
Led by Secretary Ju Chang Il, the pupils joining the Children's Union took an oath.
The pupils who joined the Korean Children's Union made their first salute responding to the slogan; "Let's always be ready for the socialist motherland!"
Then speeches were made to congratulate them.
