The new school year starts on April 1 in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
On the day, the whole country is in a festive mood.
New boys and girls enter their school campuses, full of vigor, teachers pin flowers on their chests, parents take photos of their children with an air of satisfaction and passersby stop walking to look at the school campuses.
Everybody greets the day with joy but greatest is the pleasure of the 7-year-old children who have become pupils of primary schools.
The erstwhile kindergarten children were beside themselves with joy after receiving the school uniforms, school things and schoolbags provided by the state and waited eagerly for the day that school starts.
That's why the title of the first mother tongue lesson they attend on the day seems to be "I Am a Pupil, Too".
The pupils read the title after their teacher in silvery voices.
And when the teacher asks what they want to be, the pupils vividly answer that they want to be a hero, a doctor, a teacher, a master of sports, a famous artist and so on.
Their answers vary, but they have a unanimous desire to be good persons glorifying the country by studying hard.
The new boys and girls in new school uniforms with beautiful colours and their silvery voices heard from the school campuses add the joy of spring to the whole country.
