Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , President of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), received a congratulatory message from Comrade Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, on March 26.
The message said:
Respected Comrade President Kim Jong Un ,
I extend sincere congratulations to you upon receiving the happy news that you were elected again as President of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the First Session of the 15 th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK.
I sincerely wish the socialist cause of Korea continuous, fresh and bigger success under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea headed by you.
The traditional China-DPRK friendship is a precious asset common to the two countries.
It is the consistent and steadfast policy of the Chinese Party and government to successfully defend, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations.
Last year I met you, Comrade President, again and reached a series of important common understandings and opened up a new phase of China-DPRK relations together.
I attach great importance to the development of China-DPRK relations and I am willing to strive, together with you, Comrade President, to promote the steady development of the traditional relations of friendship between the two countries and provide the two countries and two peoples with better well-being.
I wish your country prosperity and the people happiness and well-being.
