The 34th April Spring Friendship Art Festival will be held in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Il Sung.
The festival will bring together famous art troupes, dance troupes and acrobatic troupes in different countries of the world as well as overseas Korean art troupes and artistes.
Video programs of performances sent by art troupes and artistes of the relevant countries will give a noble and beautiful artistic picture of the ardent praise and admiration of the progressive mankind for the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the peerlessly great men.
The stage of the festival will be peculiarly decorated with colourful art works showing the desire of mankind to enjoy a happy life in a peaceful world while opposing war and subjugation and the national emotion and optimism of the people in the countries concerned.
The organizing committee of the festival decided to examine video programs sent by art organizations of different countries and edit them in various forms before televising them on the Korea Central Television and others and to post the progress of the festival and the result of examination on internet homepages such as "Korean Art".
The 34th April Spring Friendship Art Festival will be a grand assemblage of art in which the world progressives express their ardent praise of great men by celebrating the spring holiday of April as a common holiday of mankind with splendour; it will be a significant occasion of expanding and strengthening friendship and unity, cultural cooperation and exchange between countries.
