Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is stepping up the farming preparations at raw material base stations.
Employees of the stations in Sariwon and Songnim cities have increased the production of self-sufficing manure to raise the soil fertility after making a scientific soil analysis according to each farm field and plot.
Those stations in Koksan and Hwangju counties are making good preparations for farming while storing and tending the seeds of sugar and oil crops as required by technical regulations to supply a larger amount of raw materials to the regional-industry factories.
Pongsan and Yonsan counties have striven to create favorable conditions for the growth of winter wheat and barley while rezoning farm fields to sow seeds of industrial crops.
Yonthan and Sohung counties finished the repair and maintenance of farm machinery while paying attention to the introduction of advanced farming methods and technologies and organizing technical study.
Singye, Unpha and other counties, too, have sped up ploughing by enhancing the responsibility and role of tractor drivers after setting its order according to the area of fields in raw material bases and the characteristics of soils. -0-
