The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a message of greetings from Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, on the 23rd.
The message said.
At the happy news that the Ninth Congress of the WPK reelected Comrade Kim Jong Un General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, I, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, send warm congratulations and sincere greetings to Comrade General Secretary, the Central Committee of the WPK, the entire members of the WPK and other Korean people.
Since the Eighth Congress of the WPK, the Central Committee of the WPK headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Un has made vigorous efforts, uniting and leading the Korean people, and thus constantly achieved fresh successes in the socialist construction of Korea. The reelection of Comrade Kim Jong Un as General Secretary of the WPK is an expression of the Korean Party, government and people's deep trust in and hearty support to Comrade General Secretary.
I hope that the WPK and the Korean people would constantly open a new phase in promoting the socialist cause of Korea under the firm leadership of the Central Committee of the WPK headed by Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
It is the consistent and steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to firmly defend, admirably consolidate and wonderfully develop the Sino-Korean relations. I have an willingness to guide, together with Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un the relevant sectors and regions of both sides to creditably implement the important common understanding reached between us and thus make an active contribution to writing a new chapter of the Sino-Korean friendship, rendering services to the cause of socialist construction of the two countries, promoting well-being and friendship of the two peoples and accelerating peace, stability, development and prosperity of the region and the world.
