Scientists at the green architecture institute of the State Academy of Sciences have successfully worked on a project for cultivating flowering plants in a floating manner.
The floating-based cultivation technique helps grow relatively more plants in a given area while ensuring a combination of different figures and shapes with less materials.
The scientists manufactured supporters buoyant and suspensible enough to bear the load, as well as floating flowerpots suited to stimulate the growth of plants.
These flowerpots and stands are easy to assemble and disassemble, and they are expected to improve landscape and water quality when installed in a river, lake and pond. In addition, they are mostly likely to help enrich the people’s leisure activities and contribute to economic life through crop cultivation.
The technique will enable the urban management units to create unique landscape and protect the ecological environment by keeping various species of beautiful flowering plants in bloom longer even in the adverse atmospheric environment and conditions.
