The vice-minister of the Iranian Foreign Ministry clarified the stand to resolutely cope with the US’ military threat on January 29.
Denying the allegation that any backstage talks are being held with the US, he warned that if the US launches a military attack against Iran, it will mount an extremely fierce and horrific counter-attack.
On January 28 he told foreign journalists that the US is nowadays building up its military strength in the region and increasing the level of threat against Iran, describing it as an extension of attempt to destabilize the country.
He emphasized that the US employed all means possible including war, sanctions, threat and blackmail in order to cause chaos in Iran, but failed each time.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps stated that the corps made full preparations to cope with all possible provocations including military invasion by hostile forces.
Exposing that the US is hell bent on misleading propaganda while clamouring for military action against Iran, he said that Iranian armed forces have operation plans for responding to any kinds of provocation.
