The Jangsu Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory produces highly-efficacious traditional medicines in large quantities.
The factory was set up in 1971 to mainly produce herbal medicines including decoctions, pills and powdered medicines, which are archetypes of Koryo medicines. It has now developed into a renowned factory which mass-produces different kinds of Koryo medicines by relying on modern facilities.
“We are striving to produce larger quantities of Koryo medicines that can be widely used by people with higher curative speed and efficacy,” said Yun Ki Ran, a staffer of the factory.
The factory turns out highly-efficacious traditional medicines by collecting medicinal materials which are abundant in the country in the right time.
It realized the production of Koryo medicines in the form of extract and put it on a high scientific level by giving precedence to science and technology.
As all production processes, ranging from the supply of raw materials to the packaging of products, are in flow line, the factory has channelled efforts into constantly increasing its production capacity and improving the technical knowledge and skills of employees.
In the course of this, it has developed and produced in large quantities some 50 kinds of highly effective Koryo medicines including Salvia miltiorrhiza and Cnidium officinale heart drop, Samhyang Uhwangchongsimhwan, Ryukmihwan, Yulmuchangchulgo, bifis coated tablet, Pyritum tablet for osteoporosis and Crataegus pinnatifida Ryongsinhwan.
“Shortly ago, I lost consciousness due to ischemic heart disease on my way back home and could recover consciousness after having Salvia miltiorrhiza and Cnidium officinale heart drop. Since then, cardiodynia, palpitation and hard breathing have disappeared,” said Rim Ki Chol, an old man living in Tangsang-dong No. 2 of Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.
According to him, all his family members favour the products of the Jangsu Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory.
Its products were highly appreciated in different exhibitions and registered as excellent national products.
