The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Masikryong Ski Resort under construction in August 2013.
While looking at the ski courses stretching down from the top of the Taehwa Peak, he asked an official about the state of the ski courses during the rainy season.
After hearing the official's reply that the ski courses were not affected by heavy rainfall during the rainy season, he said that our soldier-builders had built the ski courses in a qualitative way.
However, the fact is that a few months ago, he had foreseen the possible damage to the ski courses during the rainy season and given a special instruction to the officials to plant turfs on the ski courses.
He noted that it is needed to establish well a drainage system and plant turfs on the ski courses to prevent them from being washed away by rainwater. If the ski courses are planted with turfs, it would be good to protect the ski courses and look at them after the thaw, he said. And he explained in detail what species of turf should be planted and what kind of cement should be used.
