On August 10, 2015 the women footballers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea came back home after taking the first place in the 2015 EAFF East Asia Cup.
The coaches and players got off the airplane with the national flag on their bodies.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un came out to the Pyongyang International Airport to warmly greet them.
The coaches and players were very excited to see him on arriving in the motherland.
There was a reason why they returned to the motherland with the national flag on their bodies.
On the day when they had the finals in the 2015 EAFF East Asia Cup, Kim Jong Un was giving field guidance to a region in the drizzling rain.
His suite members tried to hold an umbrella over him. Standing in the rain willingly, however, Kim Jong Un said he feels as if the rain was confetti of congratulations with best wishes for our women footballers' victory in the match to be played that day.
On the evening of the day with the finals, he watched the live broadcast of the match from the beginning to the end.
The moment the chief referee blew the whistle declaring the end of the match, Kim Jong Un stood up and said we won and that our players are very laudable.
And he said with excitement that he feels like hugging and piggybacking our women footballers and the head coach.
He also said the work for welcoming the players should be done well. Looking around at the officials, he said it would be good for our women footballers to get off the airplane with the national flag on their bodies.
The next day, he saw to it that the national flags were sent by plane.
That is how the players and coaches returned to the motherland with the national flag on their bodies.
This moving event encourages the sportspeople to fly higher the national flag in the sky of the world today, too.
