The Taean Heavy Machine Complex was selected as one of the top ten enterprises in 2024 as it was in 2023.
Last year the complex was tasked with manufacturing major custom-built equipment conducive to achieving regional rejuvenation and normalizing the production in different sectors of the national economy including metal, chemistry, electric power, coal mining, railway transport, building materials.
To this end, it attached great importance to talents and figures above all other things.
The complex selected reserve talents through production practice and made technicians and skilled workers train them while boldly entrusting them with technical innovation projects according to their abilities and skills.
In the course of this, the technical forces of the complex were consolidated both in quality and quantity, and the movement for technical innovation and invention was waged vigorously.
As a result, projects for improving the performance of turning lathes and boring machines and upgrading the speed control unit of the large lathe were brought to successful completion, thus increasing the productivity and accuracy of processing, as well as the actual rate of welding and grinding.
Meanwhile, the complex took measures to build up its own base for training talents.
It improved the educational work of the Taean College of Technology, and consolidated the material and technical foundation of vocational school so that it could produce competent talents equipped with theoretical and practical abilities.
The complex also ensured the quality of products by giving priority to figures in the whole course of its business management.
It collected digital information of the technical and economic indices such as raw and other materials consumption and labour productivity, introduction of new techniques and inventions in figures and made evaluation appropriately on the basis of the collected data, thus stimulating the creative initiative of the employees.
Consequently, the workers and technicians tried harder than ever to process and assemble the parts and auxiliaries strictly as required by the designs and technical regulations, which led to unprecedented innovations in the manufacture of custom-built equipment.
