Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, inspected the Samjigang Farm in Jaeryong County, South Hwanghae Province and the Taechong Farm in Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province.
Choe Ryong Hae encouraged the agricultural workers who are devoting themselves to carrying out the immediate farming process to successfully conclude this significant year with increased grain production and learned about the farming.
In order to produce good results while maintaining the present good crop, it is necessary to make substantial efforts to increase the thousand-grain weight to the last, he said, calling for correctly fixing the harvesting time on the basis of the calculation of the ripening rate of grain and the climatic conditions of the region and making foresighted preparations for the operation of tractors, mobile rice combined threshers and other farm machines so that harvesting and threshing can be completed in a short span of time.
Going round the paddy fields to which the Korean-style green cultivation and fish farming method has been applied, he stressed the need to ensure that the validity and vitality of the Party's policy and the economic effectiveness of paddy-field fish breeding would lead to the substantial improvement of the living standards of agricultural workers.
Choe Ryong Hae noted that the officials and agricultural workers of relevant farms should get better result in increasing grain production in the vanguard of implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era as befitting the units associated with the leadership exploits of the Party.
