The 78th enlarged meeting of the National Sports Guidance Committee took place on July 31.
Kim Tok Hun, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who is chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, presided over the meeting.
Present there were Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission, and Ri Ju Myong, deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, who are vice-chairmen of the National Sports Guidance Committee, members of the committee and leading officials of organizations supporting sports events.
The meeting reviewed the work in the second quarter of 2025 of the members of the committee and officials of the supporters’ organizations and discussed the orientation of the future work.
Kim Tok Hun stressed that the members of the committee and officials of the supporters’ organizations should make a deep study of the contents of the work for implementing the Party's policy on sports, carry them out according to each provision and make positive contributions to developing the country's sports and the techniques of each sport.
The participants watched a video recording the successes of the DPRK players who exalted the honour of the country in international games held in recent years.
