In a recent statement, the spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry strongly opposed the Japanese government which designated China as an unprecedentedly greatest challenge in the “Defense of Japan 2025” white paper.
Japan’s latest white paper on defense grossly intervenes in the internal affairs of China based on a wrong perception towards the country and overstates a “threat from China”, he denounced, pointing out China’s great discontent and solid disapproval.
The spokesman continued that Japan should not forget its past as this year marks the 80 th anniversary of the victory in the anti-Japanese war of the Chinese people and the world war against fascism. He underlined that Japan should stop exaggerating the surrounding situation and finding reasons for its military build-up.
