Advanced Melamine Resin Production Line of Korean Style Built at Hungnam Fertilizer Complex

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- True to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea, the workers, scientists, technicians and officials of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex in the DPRK built a melamine resin production line relying on the domestic resources and technology.
The birth of a new chemical base that produces melamine resin with good physical, chemical and mechanical characters and high practical value has provided another wealth for further consolidating the self-supporting foundation of the chemical industry and promoting the prosperity of the country.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave an instruction to domestically produce melamine resin which is badly needed for the economic development and improvement of people's living standards and indicated the orientation and ways for pushing forward with its implementation.
The officials, scientists, technicians and workers of the complex, who turned out in a drive for carrying out the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on accelerating the construction of the melamine resin production line, have stepped up the equipment assembling, displaying their creative wisdom and sci-tech potential.
The new production line was established, bringing out the first products made with our own raw materials, efforts and technology.
All the processes, including the melamine monomer synthesis process, are highly precise, automated and streamlined. The energy-saving, resource-saving, technology-intensive and environment-protecting production line is a self-supporting and modern industrial base equal to a chemical factory.
The establishment of a chemical production base conducive to the development of the self-supporting economy and the improvement of the people's living standards put the melamine resin production line of our own style on a world level of development and our chemical industry has opened a new avenue in the struggle for putting it on a Juche basis. -0-
