Medical education institutes across the country are making efforts to train practical talents.
Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences, Phyongsong College of Medical Sciences, Pyongyang College of Medical Sciences and others are steadily introducing advanced teaching methods to improve the quality of experimental and practical training.
Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences is greatly encouraging all its faculties and departments to work out new teaching methods to enhance the students’ cognitive and inquisitive abilities, while organizing experience-sharing meetings and discussions about teaching in such a way as to help train students to be talents in their own majors.
In particular, it ensures that latest medical science and technology is introduced into teaching and lectures are closely combined with experiment and practice so that students could acquire practical knowledge as much as possible.
Phyongsong College of Medical Sciences has manufactured anatomical models of the human body that help the students improve their practical abilities through first-hand experience in diagnosis and treatment.
Besides, it is pushing ahead with the work to improve the quality of experimental education by building a general experimental education hall.
Pyongyang College of Medical Sciences has developed modern experimental apparatuses to ensure the scientific accuracy and effectiveness of education, while Kanggye College of Medical Sciences has established an online system that enables students to look into operations in hospitals in real time.
Chongjin College of Medical Sciences and others are strengthening practical education through experiment, practice and work experience in an effort to improve the students’ creative abilities.
