The possession of great military capability is an inevitable course of struggle and an essential historic task which must be chosen to defend the destiny of the country and nation.

The DPRK's cause of achieving the comprehensive national rejuvenation and promoting the people’s well-being is just, but it is accompanied by the vicious challenges of the most hostile and threatening enemy states and mounting war crises.

Following last year when the US nuclear submarine and nuclear strategic bomber entered the puppet ROK area after decades and the situation heated with nuclear war games, the hostile forces have continued to increase the acts of military provocation against the DPRK from the beginning of this year. This vicious cycle has further endangered the security of the DPRK.

The unstable reality, in which the security environment and independent development of the country are seriously threatened, urgently requires that it further accelerate the buildup of its national defence capabilities.

The situations prevailing in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip give a warning to every nation.

The present-day world, in which sovereignty and territory of countries are mercilessly violated and bloodshed has become a commonplace due to the imperialists' hegemony-seeking policy and outrageous moves for aggression, once again confirms that only the strength great enough to defend a country by itself without depending on that of outsiders is genuine peace and the absolute guarantee for national development.

Only the overwhelming counterforce can control and manage the political and military situation in the region independently and proactively and prevent the danger of outbreak of a nuclear war on the global scale beyond the Korean peninsula.

For this reason, the DPRK has directed all efforts to bolstering up the greatest capabilities for self-defence despite the worst difficulties. In the course of it, the ultimate weaponry and advanced military hardware for defending national sovereignty, called with Juche, were born.

The absolute might of the DPRK that no aggressor forces dare provoke and which can chastise them for any military provocation with rapid counteraction has now become the symbol of the dignity and strength of the DPRK people.

The advanced military hardware the DPRK possesses as a world military power and the demonstrations of its powerful absolute might break the will of the aggressor forces boasting of "superiority in strength" to fight a war and frighten them so much that they do not dare to use armed forces.

The decades-long peace the DPRK has kept on the Korean peninsula, the world's most sensitive hotspot caused by the constantly escalating tension, proves that only peace maintained by the great strength that can control and contain the enemy is reliable, safe and durable and it provides a lasting guarantee for the security and future of the country and its people.

It is the precious fruition of the untiring efforts made by Comrade Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, with love for the country, nation and people.

He always stood at the forefront of the struggle to build up the defence capabilities for the country and people and to firmly guarantee the eternal laughter of the children and people and the eternal future of national rejuvenation. Thanks to him, the DPRK has grown strong and will grow stronger in the future, too.

It is the steadfast will of the DPRK to solidly build up the self-defensive military capability both in quality and quantity without a moment's delay and limitation in the face of the constant challenges of the hostile forces.

Strength a country built by itself is the only guarantee for controlling the enemy and defending itself, and only when the overwhelming armed forces are steadily consolidated, can the national sovereignty and security be perfectly defended.

So long as tyrannical imperialism remains on the earth and nuclear threat by the hostile forces continues, there will never be any cessation and setback in the course of enhancing the nuclear war deterrent of the DPRK and its advance is irreversible.
