Working people’s organizations of the DPRK planted trees on the occasion of the tree-planting day.
Officials and members of the youth league, the trade unions, the agricultural workers’ union and the women’s union planted trees in relevant areas with sincerity.
Officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League of Korea and the youth league officials and members in Pyongyang planted firs, white birches, Picea koraiensis and flower shrubs at the April 15 Children’s Flower Garden.
Young people in South Phyongan, North Phyongan, South Hamgyong, North Hamgyong and other provinces planted trees in conformity with the seasonal conditions in their relevant areas.
Officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea also planted trees in Mt Hwasong.
Officials and members of the trade unions across the country planted trees with sincerity, full of determination to fulfil their mission and duty in the general onward march.
The Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and its organizations at all levels planted trees of various species at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site and other places to add beauty to the landscape.
Officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea and the women’s union officials and members in Pyongyang visited the construction site for building 10 000 flats at the third stage in the Hwasong area and devoted themselves to tree planting, picturing the beautiful future of the large architectural group to be inaugurated soon.
Members of the women’s union in North Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces, Kaesong Municipality and other areas planted trees in a responsible manner.
